The BMEA Podcast:
Lifting Our Voices

Welcome back to the BMEA Podcast – Lifting Our Voices.

On today’s episode, we are joined by three impactful leaders in the Detroit educational community. We are pleased to be joined by Mrs. Alycia Meriweather, Deputy Superintendent of External Partnerships, Enrollment and Innovation for Detroit Public Schools Community District, Mrs. Danielle Jackson, CEO of U Prep Schools, and Mr. Ralph Bland, CEO of New Paradigm for Education. In this conversation, the hosts from BMEA and the special guests talk candidly and openly about the thought-process and approach to continuing education for more than 60,000 students in Detroit and the specific considerations each leader had to be mindful of in their approach.

We also discuss the future implications for Detroit schools moving forward and the continual fight to provide equitable educational experiences for all Detroit students.
