Abram Miller is the Data and Assessment Coordinator and Athletic Director at Henry Ford Academy: School for Creative Studies. As a school level leader he works with achievement, attendance and culture data to keep HFA:SCS’s mission driven decision making rooted in what students and families are actually experiencing. He also incorporates the importance of athletics into the lives of HFA:SCS students to help reinforce a positive school environment as well as to cultivate the values of perseverance, dedication and teamwork. Abram is drawn to his work in education because of his passion for racial justice. Through his experiences growing up playing basketball in Buffalo NY now as an emerging veteran of Detroit Education he embraces his role as a white ally and is excited for the impact that BMEA will have. Abram holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a Master’s of Arts in Teaching from Oakland University.
